Tips for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom is an event that embodies the spirit of the holiday season, spreading joy, warmth, and enchantment to all who attend. It’s a celebration where the magic of Disney and the magic of the holidays unite, creating an unforgettable experience that resonates with guests long after they’ve left the park. To make the most of your time at the party, follow these few tips and tricks I’ve learned throughout the years:
Don’t Overpack Your Day: Consider purchasing party tickets for a day you don’t plan to hit the parks. If you are planning to visit a park during the day, be sure to head back in the afternoon for some down time so you are able to enjoy the whole party.
Reserve Dining Prior to the Party: With limited amount of time in the parks during the party, you don’t want to spend it eating a table service dinner. Instead, reserve dining around 5 PM so you can have plenty of time to eat and won’t miss out on any of the party when it kicks off at 7 PM!
Watch the Second Parade Performance: The parade will be performed twice during the party and the majority of families with young children will watch the first parade, then view the fireworks, and head home. Rather than dealing with the crowds, use the time during the first parade to hit some rides when wait times will be low and then see the second parade performance.

Visit Jack as Sandy Claws & Sally Early: If getting a picture with Jack and Sally is a must-do, be sure to get in line early. The line will traditionally open at 4 PM for party guests and can easily get to an over 4 hour wait. Knocking this off the list in the beginning will save you lots of time!
Get Your Wristband In the Parks If You Have Park Admission: The turnstiles at 4 PM to enter the park will very crowded. Disney does a great job of moving guests through as quick as possible, but it’s not uncommon for you to wait in a line wrapped back to the bus station when they start letting guests in. If you have valid admission to Magic Kingdom during the day (this would be in addition to the park ticket), enter through the non-party entrance and grab your wristband at one of the distribution spots in the park (Tomorrowland and Adventureland).
