What Is a Disney VIP Tour?

Disney VIP Tours trace their roots back to the Disneyland Resort Ambassador program created by Walt Disney himself. The goal then and now is simple: to help guests enjoy a smooth, unforgettable vacation.

Each tour is privately led by a hand-selected, expertly trained Disney VIP Tour Guide. VIP Tour Services works with your family before and during the tour to craft a completely personalized itinerary based on your must-do list. Want to conquer thrill rides, meet favorite characters, or focus on shows and parades? Your guide will help curate the perfect day.

  • Minimum of 7 hours per tour (and additional 3 hours can be added on during your tour)
  • Fully customizable based on your priorities
  • Led by a dedicated VIP Tour Guide
  • Valid theme park tickets required (not included in the cost of the tour)
  • Flexibility to visit multiple parks in one day if you have a Park Hopper pass

Your tour can include attractions, shows, parades, dining, fireworks—anything that fits into your day and aligns with your wishlist.

What You Can Expect on a Disney VIP Tour

No two VIP Tours are the same, which is part of the magic. To give you an idea of what a day might look like, here’s a peek at what I experienced on my most recent tour at Walt Disney World.

Our adventure began at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where we met our VIP Tour Guide, Pete (highly recommend requesting him if he’s available!). Animal Kingdom was the perfect starting point because it allowed us to hop between parks efficiently.

We walked directly onto Avatar Flight of Passage, bypassing its typical 100+ minute wait, and then enjoyed Na’vi River Journey. Normally we would have added Expedition Everest to our list, but it was closed that day however, it’s a strong recommendation if you’re planning your own tour!

One of the most unique perks of a VIP Tour is the backstage transportation. After finishing in Pandora, Pete escorted us backstage where a private van was waiting to take us to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Not only is this a huge time-saver (no buses or skyliner needed!), but it’s also a fun behind-the-scenes moment for true Disney fans.

We parked behind the Hollywood Tower of Terror and headed straight for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. First up: Rise of the Resistance, with zero wait thanks to our VIP Tour!

Afterward, Pete greeted us with cold water and walked us over to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. We mentioned we wanted to try activating “Chewie Mode,” and with some help from both Pete and the cast members, we succeeded, meaning Chewbacca became our guide instead of Hondo Ohnaka!

As a special touch, Pete also showed us a hidden details in the land, like a miniature Millennium Falcon located on the life-size Millennium Falcon. (Pro tip: As you walk into Smuggler’s Run, look near the fuel jet—find the gray slates running down its side and check near the base!)

Our plan was to finish the tour in Magic Kingdom for VIP viewing of the fireworks. While fireworks viewing isn’t guaranteed on every tour, it’s absolutely something you should mention to your guide early on if it’s important to you. The vantage point and crowd-free experience add a truly magical finale to your day.
