Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Party General Info

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed nighttime event that takes place on select evenings during August, September, and October. The party runs from 7:00 PM to midnight and ticket holders will be admitted to Magic Kingdom park as early as 4:00 PM on the valid date of their ticket. These date-specific event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or theme park reservation.

Pro Tip: Take advantage of the extra time in the park to have dinner before the party starts. There will be lots to do once the party officially kicks off at 7 PM and taking time out for dinner may not be the best use of your time!

Ticket pricing varies based on the night you attend and can be viewed below. Please note that some nights have already sold out. To inquire about tickets, reach out to a KMV Travel Advisor here.

Dressing Up

It wouldn’t be a Halloween party without costumes! Guests are welcome to wear costumes, but Disney does have specific guidelines to ensure safety.

For Guests 13 and under:

Costumes and some costume masks may be worn; masks must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.

For Guests 14 Years of Age or Older:

Costumes may be worn according to these guidelines. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from Disney parks, unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards:

  • All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground. (for example, full-length Princess dresses)
  • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
  • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.
  • Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus. Costume headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
  • Costume masks of any kind may not be worn.

Attractions

One of the perks of going to the Halloween Party is the lower wait times for attractions. While we don’t recommend party nights in place of a regular park day, it is a great way to hit attractions and even see some special effects that are only available during the party!

There are currently three attractions that are enhanced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

  • Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor: This space is one of the trick-or-treat spots, but also will have special Halloween jokes being told as you walk through. You’re welcome to grab a seat and watch for a bit.
  • Space Mountain: Cast Members have referred to Space Mountain during the party as “Deep Space Mountain” because the lights will be brought down to near darkness and you’ll get an extra spooky soundtrack playing!
  • Haunted Mansion: While the ride itself does not change during the party, guests will be treated to a ghostly welcome throughout the queue. Madame Carlotta and Broom The Butler greet guests in the graveyard just before entering the mansion.
  • Mad Tea Party: Go for a spin with special lighting effects and music!

Most attractions are open during the party, but a few shows are turned into trick-or-treat stops rather than operating.
